Mission Based Adventure Trips

We have been very fortunate to have great teams come to Pine Dale and come along side of us as we endeavor to spread the good news of Jesus Christ to our community.

We host many different types of teams ranging from construction to church youth groups to young adults to senior adults and family. We make each trip a successful mission trip based upon the skills of the team.

A week of ministry with us might include some of the following: 1) food distribution, 2) painting local homes, 3) home site ministry, 4) VBS, 5) revival services for children, youth and/or adults, and 6) light remodeling work.

We are located in the beautiful Southwestern United States on private acreage completely surrounded by Navajo land.

If you would like to come or bring a group out for a time of ministry please contact us and we will be glad to work with you to develop a trip that will be effective for you and Pine Dale community and most of all God’s Kingdom. We have an onsight bunkhouse along with a full kitchen in our church.

We have hosted folks from TN, NC, DC, OK, TX, CO, MO, ID, CA, NJ, MI, FL, NV, AL, KY, IN, GA, MS, LA and of course New Mexico who have come to Pine Dale to minister along side of us.

We have now started hosting Mission Base Adventure Travels on our own. These trips will give the traveler an opportunity to work with widows, orphans or the less fortunate in a personal manner and also learn more about the Navajo people in general.

Most MBA Travels consist of a wonderful six (6) day experience. An MBAT trip would look somewhat like this.

DAY 1: Arrive around 4 PM in time for a wonderful Navajo Taco dinner followed by a time of orientation.

DAY 2: We start out with a time for personal devotions and prayer for our week of ministry in Pine Dale.

DAY 3: Continuation of the community service project. At the end of the day we come back to NLCA for our Wednesday evening Bible study. A time to reflect upon God’s Word and fellowship with the local body of believers.

DAY 4: We complete the community service project in the morning and after noon we will take a prayer drive through Pine Dale to give you a total picture of the people we minister to. For the supper meal we will travel into town (20+ miles) to a restaurant where you may view and purchase local artisans hand made items such as jewelry and potterty, etc. You may purchase directly for the artisan.

DAY 5: SITE SEEING – We start our site seeing adventure with a stop at the Navajo Nation Museum in Window

Rock, AZ

NN Museum

Next stop on our adventure is a stop at the Navajo Nation Code Talkers Memorial located in the Veteran’s Park in Window Rock, AZ.

From there it is a short drive to Canyon de Chelly. This is an exquisite National Monument located in the heart of the Navajo Reservation with breath taking vistas that only God could create.

Spider Rock canyon

If the walls of Canyon de Chelly could talk they would tell you that for nearly 5,000 years, people have lived in these canyons – longer than anyone has lived uninterrupted anywhere on the Colorado Plateau.

After we leave Canyon de Chelly we will return to Pine Dale and have an evening of sharing what God has shown us during our week of adventure.

DAY 6: Clean up and depart with a new heart for missions and a deeper understanding of the Navajo People.

Some quotes from past MBA travelers . . .

I saw them as God sees them and just wanted to share His love for them with them. (Janice, CA)
While overlooking Pinedale, … God widened my vision and heart to the extreme spiritual darkness that the Native Americans live in day by day. (Jim, ID)
Coming on this trip I expected to serve others, but never expected to be so blessed just by helping others. (Katie, OK)
Simple things make a significant difference in the lives of those who are needy. I will do more to serve the needy in my community and beyond. (Tonya, KY)
These people that I had never met, that didn’t even speak the same language as me, were more friendly to me than the people that I went to church with every week. (Thaysia, CA)
Ministering to the widows has been an incredible privilege for my family.(Valerie, GA)

In Memoriam

Jim & Georgia Owens of “Streets of Hope” in Albuquerque , NM who supplied us with the food we distributed early in our ministry here in Pine Dale.  Jim passed away earlier in `13 and Georgia went to her reward early in `15. They were such an integral part of our ministry here that we will continue to host this page as a memoriam to them.

Food Program

A widow going back to her home with a sack of donated groceries on her shoulder. On the right are several cases of soup that were donated for distribution to with widows, elderly and needy in Pine Dale.

Enjoy part of our ministry. The distribution of $7000 worth of firewood is still ongoing for the next week. Thank you who donated. Watch the video on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/nathan.lynch1/videos/10213013906875151/

Here are a couple of photos of a grandmother shopping for
clothing and then taking a break from shopping.

Children who attended the 2013 VBS received a backpack filled with a pair of shoes and back-to-school supplies. Before they receive their back-to-school shoes, backpacks and school supplies they joined us in our Vacation Bible School. There were over 50 children in attendance at this event!
